ChatGPT App
Hello Greeting
A minimal, read-only reference app for the ChatGPT Apps SDK — the smallest end-to-end path from an MCP server to a live, submittable ChatGPT app.
What it does
Hello Greeting exposes a single tool, get_greeting. When you
ask ChatGPT for a greeting, it calls get_greeting with an
optional name and returns Hello, <name>!,
rendered inline as a small self-contained HTML widget.
- Read-only. The handler is a pure string transform — no filesystem, no network, no mutation.
- No data collection. Nothing is stored, logged, or shared. The app has no database, accounts, or analytics.
- No authentication. The MCP endpoint is unauthenticated and has no access to your ChatGPT account, history, files, or memory.
- Self-contained widget. The inline widget makes no external fetch, script, or style requests.
How it is built
The app is a simply-mcp MCP server deployed as a stateless
Cloudflare Worker. The MCP endpoint is
https://chatgpt-app.cwinnov.com/mcp. It exists to de-risk and
document the build-to-deploy pipeline, not to provide a consumer feature.
