Hello Greeting
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 May 2026
Summary
Hello Greeting is a minimal reference app for the ChatGPT Apps SDK. It does not collect, store, share, or sell any personal data.
What the app does
Hello Greeting exposes a single tool, get_greeting. When you
ask ChatGPT for a greeting, ChatGPT may call get_greeting
with an optional name value parsed from your request. The app
returns the string Hello, <name>! and an HTML widget
that displays it.
Data we collect
None. The app collects no personal data.
- The
namevalue passed toget_greetingis used only to build the greeting string in the immediate response. It is not stored, logged, retained, or transmitted anywhere after the response is returned. - The app has no database, no user accounts, and no analytics.
- The app requires no authentication and has no access to your ChatGPT account, conversation history, files, or memory.
Data we share
None. The app makes no network calls to third parties.
The get_greeting handler is a pure string transformation that
runs entirely inside the request and contacts no external system. Its
tool annotations declare this: readOnlyHint: true,
openWorldHint: false, destructiveHint: false.
Hosting
The app runs as a stateless Cloudflare Worker at
https://chatgpt-app.cwinnov.com/mcp. Each request is handled
independently; no request data persists between requests. Cloudflare may
process standard network metadata (e.g. IP address) transiently as part
of delivering the request, governed by
Cloudflare's privacy policy;
the app itself neither reads nor retains it.
Children's privacy
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
